Donald O. Valum

Donald O. Valum Sr., 77, of Pell Lake, WI, died Friday February 21, 2014 at his home.  Donald Orville Valum was born in Westby, WI on January 19, 1937 the son of the late Helen Valum.  On May 9, 1987 in Lake County, IL he was united in marriage to the former Cathy Dreyer.  He had worked for many years as a security guard.  Donald was an avid baseball and football fan, his favorites being the Chicago White Sox and the Green Bay Packers.  He also enjoyed Elvis Presley music and John Wayne movies.
Donald is survived by: his wife Cathy,  children; John (Vicki) Valum, Vickie Stallings, Timothy Valum, Becky Lalley, Megan (Alex Hicks) Valum, Donald O. Valum Jr., Darrell King, Linda Nelson and Dave (Roz) Janssen, sisters; Bonnie Elfers, Shirley Forbes, Kathy Scheil, Mary Allen and Diana Purvis, brother Mike Allen, his mother-in-law Dolores Dreyer and many loving sister and brother’s-in-law.
Services for Donald will be Thursday February 27, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home; Reverend Mark Moller-Gunderson Pastor of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran church in Lake Geneva will officiate.  Burial will be Friday in Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.  Visitation will be Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services.
