Donald Huber, 89, a lifelong resident of Lake Geneva, died Sunday July 13, 2014 at Geneva Lake Manor Nursing Home in Lake Geneva.  Donald was born in Hammond, IN on April 12, 1925 the son of the late Leslie and Minnie (Wankurt) Huber.  He graduated from Lake Geneva High School in 1943.  He was a Veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army 96th Infantry Division in the Philippines and in Okinawa.  On April 11, 1953 in Lake Geneva he was united in marriage to the former Patricia Davidson; she preceded him in death on February 28, 1998.  He then married the former Marion Dewart. Don was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pell Lake, WI.  He was member of the 96th Infantry Division Association.  He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Don is survived by: his wife Marion, 2 children; Steven Huber of Madison, WI and Kathleen (Homer) Webster of San Marcos, TX., 4 grandchildren; Gracey Jarosek, William Webster, Cheyenne (Jorge) Castilla and Chisholm Webster and 4 great-grandchildren; Thres Jarosek, Casey and Jared Castilla and Riann Webster He was preceded in death by a sister Jean and 2 brothers Leslie and Warren.
Services for Don will be held Saturday July 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva; Pastor Brian Metke of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pell Lake will officiate.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva.  The Huber family will receive visitors Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Don’s name to: Lake Geneva Firefighters Association, P.O.
