Donald G. Amann, 84, of Lake Como, died Tuesday February 17, 2015 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center.  Donald George Amann was born in Elkhorn, WI on September 23, 1930 the son of the late George and Alma (Zabel) Amann.  He graduated from Crandon Wisconsin High School in 1948.  He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Navy.  On December 23, 1967 in Elkhorn, WI he was united in marriage to the former Elizabeth Powell.  Don had worked as a mail carrier in Lake Geneva for many years.  He was member of the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church and was active in the Methodist Men’s Club.  He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Don is survived by: Liz, his wife of 47 years, 6 sons; Ron (Amy) of Lake Geneva, Tom (Linda) of Lake Geneva, Joe of Appleton, WI, Andy (Debbie) of Walworth, WI, David (Patty) of Lake Geneva and Tim of Baltimore, MD.  He was preceded in death by; a daughter Linda Mary, a brother Howard and 2 sisters Mary Brellenthin and Dorothy Logg.
Services for Don will be Saturday February 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Como Community Church; Pastor Heather Brewer of Lake Geneva United Methodist Church and Pastor Bob Kamps of Como Community Church will officiate.  Burial will follow in Hazel Ridge Cemetery in Elkhorn.  Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday in Church.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Don’s name to the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church.
