Diane F. (Fox) Purcell

Diane F. Purcell, 78, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday July 13, 2013 with her five children at her side.   The former Diane Fox was born in Salinas, CA on May 21, 1935 the daughter of the late Jared W. and Marie (Chipman) Fox.  On February 4, 1955 in Silver Springs, MD she was united in marriage to James E. Purcell; he preceded her in death on May 11, 2012.  She had a Masters Degree in counseling and had worked for many years as an addiction counselor.  She was an active member of the Lake Geneva Lioness Club and the Geneva Lakes Women’s Association.  She was a strong supporter of Twin Oaks Homeless Shelter in Darien, WI.
Diane is survived by her 5 children; Jared (Cynthia) Purcell of Hinsdale, IL, Juli Powers of Dallas, TX, Gregory (Julie) Purcell of St. Charles, IL, Heather (Peter) Richter of Hinsdale, IL and Tina (Marc) Schwartz of Grayslake, IL and 14, grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother Jared W. Fox III.
A Celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Thursday July 18, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Lake Geneva; Father Jim Scheurman will officiate.   Diane’s family will receive visitors
