Dale E. Stolldorf, a cherished member of the Woodstock community and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Born on September 8, 1939, in Woodstock, Illinois, Dale’s life was marked by dedication, love, and a steadfast commitment to his family and community.

A proud veteran, Dale bravely served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. His years of service shaped the man he became—resilient, honorable, and deeply grounded in values of loyalty and duty. After his military service, Dale devoted 45 years to Eagle Food Chain, exemplifying a tireless work ethic that earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

Alongside his professional ventures, Dale found joy and purpose as the co-owner of Wayne’s Lanes in Woodstock, a place where laughter and community spirit thrived under his careful guidance. His involvement in the business mirrored the warmth and generosity he extended to everyone around him.

Dale’s passing closes a chapter filled with loving memories of his late wife, Judy, whose companionship enriched his life immeasurably. He was also preceded in death by his sons Dale Jr., and two brothers, John and Dennis—a loss that deeply marked his journey.

He leaves behind a legacy carried forward by his surviving daughter, Kristine, who was a source of immense pride and joy. His grandchildren—Cheryl Stolldorf, Jessica Kittle, Ryan Linhart, James Horton, and Jordan Trower—were a continual source of happiness, and he was a devoted great-grandfather to Damian and Deric Kittle.

Dale's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of dedication to family, service to country, and commitment to community. While his presence will be sorely missed, the memories he forged and the love he gave will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

His story is one of genuine warmth and strength, a testament to a life well-lived—a beacon of love and integrity to all who had the privilege to walk alongside him. As we say goodbye, we carry Dale’s spirit with us, embracing the enduring light he leaves behind.
