Cruz Angelica Martinez Guevara, age 55, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025 in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. She was born on May 3rd, 1969 to Ruben Martinez Serrano and Rosa Guevara Garcia. She grew up in Ojocaliente, Zacatecas, Mexico, where she developed a lifelong love for the fine arts. Her upbringing was filled with cherished moments alongside her siblings--Estela, Jesus, Jose Candelario, Rogelio, and Jaime.
Cruz Angelica Martinez Guevara pursued an education in Hospitality and Tourism management graduating from Cetis Guadalupe de Zacatecas. She began her banking career at Bancomer, where she worked for four years. In 1994, she relocated to the United States to make the American Dream a reality. During that time, she worked in the restaurant industry for over 15 years. This career served hand in hand with her education and how much of a hardworking and amazing cook she was.
Beyond her professional life, Cruz Angelica Martinez Guevara was a woman of deep faith and many passions. She found joy in gardening, fine arts, yoga, volunteering. She was an active member of the Lake Como Women’s Club and a devoted parishioner at St. Francis De Sales. She loved walking along the lake, cooking, and most of all, dedicating herself to her family. She was a devoted spouse and parent, sharing 32 years of love and partnership with Baltazar Garcia and raising Carlos, Ruben, Jose, and Evelyn Garcia.
Cruz Angelica Martinez Guevara will be remembered as a woman of extraordinary kindness, deep faith, and a drive for life. Her laughter could light up a room, and her generous heart touched everyone she met. She was quirky, witty, affectionate, had an eccentric charm, and most of all loving.
