Charles Patrick Pietsch, of Lake Geneva passed away on November 4, 2024, at Mercy Janesville Hospital surrounded by family members.
Charles was born on March 11, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois and was preceded in death by his parents Harold Richard and Mae Harriet (Taylor) Pietsch and brother Richard Taylor Pietsch. Charles surviving brothers Stephen (Pam) and Gary (Felice) Pietsch. Charles graduated from Leo High School in 1952 and then went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Illinois. Charles is survived by his wife Linda Lange of 31 years.
Charles was first married to the late Judith Sundstrom Pietsch for 36 years and survived by their five children: Michael Richard (Cindy) Pietsch, Mary Elise “Lisa” (Thomas) Ganzer, Margaret Mary “Maggie” Pietsch, Mark Charles (Gloria) Pietsch, and Matthew Christopher (Carol) Pietsch and grandchildren: Mary Kelly “Coco,” Rachel, Michael, Ryan, Christopher, Taylor, Lauren, Logan, Livia, Lacey, Lexi, Liberty, Luke, Geoffrey, Emily along with great grandchildren.
Charles loved golf and was an avid reader. He loved to stay current with politics and other local events. Charles liked to spend time outside in his garden. He was a fantastic cook, and he loved to cook for his family and friends. His passion for food led him to own and operate the Club House Inn in Lake Como, Wisconsin with his wife Linda. Charles loved dogs and loved to travel. His favorite time of the year was his annual trip to Siesta Key, Florida with his dogs.
Service for Charles will be held on Saturday November 23rd, 2024, at 12:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home, 800 Park Drive, Lake Geneva, WI 53147. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00am till service time.
