In the early morning of April 10th, Carson Ray Baker (Poppi) was reunited with the love of his life Mary Lila Baker to begin their eternal journey together.
Carson began his life in Corning, Arkansas. He was the youngest of five boys born to the late Hazel and Winfield Baker on May 3, 1941.
After graduating from West Allis Central High School, Carson attended Hospitality and Bartending Management School in Chicago. Carson moved his family to Lake Geneva after accepting a position with the Playboy Club where he worked from 1968-1981. While with Playboy, in 1972 Carson traveled to Great Gorge, NJ as part of the team selected to prepare that Playboy Club to be opened. After Playboy closed, Carson stayed on with Americana until they sold to the Marcus Corporation at which time he took a position with a printing company that he eventually retired from.
Carson was the proud and loving father to four children. The late Kevin Ray Baker (2/18/63 - 5/8/05) along with his surviving children Shelly Baker, Dan Baker and Katy Colon. Carson lit up every time he was with his grandchildren Nate Warrenburg, Ryne Warrenburg, Patrick Roeker and Mary Colon and especially his great grandchildren Loralei, Kaydence, Ella, Katelynn, Kinsley, Lucas and Boone.
Carson will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. The twinkle in his eyes, the smile on his face and that southern accent with the great personality to match!
Visitation for Carson will begin at 5:00pm, with the service to follow at 7:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home, on Wednesday April 16th, 2025.
