Carolyn R. (Mereness) Frey

Carolyn R. Frey, 86, a longtime resident of the Lake Geneva area, died Saturday November 21, 2015 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Williams Bay, WI.  The former Carolyn Ruth Mereness was born in Elkhorn, WI on August 3, 1929 the daughter of the late Paul and Gladys (Wiedemer) Mereness.  She was a graduate of Darien High School in Darien, WI and then Whitewater Teachers College.  On June 16, 1953 in Darien she was united in marriage to Walter F. Frey; he preceded her in death on February 18, 2013.  Carolyn is survived by:  2 sons; Allan (Jane) Frey of Delafield, WI and Larry Frey of Lake Geneva, WI, 3 grandchildren; Jocelyn, Melissa, and Brian and a sister Helen Moore of Williams Bay, WI.

Services for Carolyn will be held on Sunday November 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Briggs Road Evangelical Free Church in Elkhorn; Pastor Bob Peiffer will officiate.  Visitation will be Sunday, in church, from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Carolyn’s name to: New Tribes Mission.
