Beverly I. (Stolte) Peters

Beverly I. Peters, 84, of Lake Geneva, WI died Wednesday September 5, 2012 at Geneva Lake Manor Nursing Home in Lake Geneva. The former Beverly Irene Stolte was born in Cleveland, OH on April 14, 1928 the daughter of the late Lester and Mary (Barton) Stolte. She graduated from South Shore High School in Chicago, IL. She had worked for many years for Hevi Duty Company in Lake Geneva. She was an intricate part of the starting of the family business, Frank J. Peters and Sons Woodworking Company, in Lake Geneva.
She was an active member of the Lake Geneva United Methodist and a member of the Church Women’s Club. Worked for many years at the Methodist Church Dining hall at the Walworth County Fair. She enjoyed rummage sales and playing bingo. She truly loved all her friends at Geneva Hills.
Beverly is survived by: 3 children; Michael (Shelly) Peters of Elkhorn, WI, Kathleen (Patrick) Carroll of Lake Geneva, WI, and Leslie (Ted) Adent of Bradenton, FL, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, a sister Floradell Scarborough of Sarasota Fl, and Lake Geneva, WI and a nephew Christopher A. Scarborough. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Mary Estella Bartow.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday September 7, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home, 800 Park Dr., Lake Geneva, WI: Reverend Keith Aurand Pastor of the Lake Geneva United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Beverly’s name to: Lake Geneva Firefighters Association, P.O. Box 811, Lake Geneva, WI 53147 or Gentiva Hospice 10150 W. National Ave., West Allis, WI 53227.
