Betty Jane (Mientkiewski) Sowizdrzal

Betty J. Sowizdrzal, 85, of the Lake Geneva area passed away at her home on April 25, 2022.

Born Betty Jane Mientkiewski on March 25, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and Bessie (Shore) Mientkiewski.  Betty was united into marriage to the late Bernard Sowizdrzal, he proceeded her in death in 1986.

Betty loved to be out in her garden on a beautiful day.  When she wasn’t out there you could find her doing a puzzle at the kitchen table or coloring a picture.

Betty is survived by her daughter Beth and one son Mike (Judy) Sowizdrzal.  Four Grandchildren: Laurel (Alex Rode) Tilley, Jennifer (Jerry) Newland, Melissa (Sean) Morgan, and Greg (Jen) Sowizdrzal, Five great-grandchildren Jayleen, Carissa, Bryce, Veronica, Brinton, and Jesse and one sister Rita Hubbard all survive Betty.  Betty was proceeded in death by her husband Bernard in 1986 and one daughter, Diane Grober.

A chapel service for Betty will be held on Thursday April 28th, 2022, at 12:00pm in the Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.  Entombment will immediately follow the service.
