Beatrice F. (Volp) Sontag

Beatrice F. Sontag, 96, a long time resident of the Lake Geneva area, died Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Williams Bay Care Center in Williams Bay, WI.  The former Beatrice Frances Volp was born on June 20, 1915 in Eureka, WI the daughter of the late Richard and Anne (Nordhaus) Volp.  In July of 1936 she was united in marriage to Harold Sontag; he preceded her in death on January 4, 1965.  She loved sewing and quilting and enjoyed making quilts for her children and grandchildren.  She was an avid card player.
Beatrice is survived by: 10 children; Betty (Jack) Davis of Lake Geneva, WI, Frances (Butch) Moore of Goldwaith, TX, Harold (Helen) Sontag of Dixon, CA, Eleanor Hellenga of Belvidere, IL, Richard (Winnie) Sontag of San Jose, CA, Linda Rodriguez of Modesto, CA, Larry (Gerri) Sontag of Omro, WI, Joyce (Glenn) Heller of Lake Geneva, WI, Joanne Sontag of Palatine, IL, Vicki (Richard) Dangio of Cedar Crest, NM, 27 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, a brother Richard (Audrey) Volp of Stockbridge, WI and a sister Bernice (Marvin) Nussbamer of Oshkosh, WI.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Rosie Albertson.
Services will be held on Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church 1101 Logan St., Lake Geneva; Pastor Mark Kaesmeyer will officiate  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.  The Sontag family will receive visitors Wednesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
