Barry Stephen Plier, 62, of Lake Geneva died November 8th, 2014 in Land O’ Lakes Wisconsin.

Barry Stephen Plier was born on February 2nd, 1952 to Richard and Maron Plier in Elmhurst, Illinois.  Barry was a 1970 graduate of East Lyden High School in Franklin Park, Illinois.  After high school Barry had enrolled in Triton Junior College in Illinois but shortly after enrolling Barry was drafted into the United States Army.  Barry served in the United States Army from 1972 till 1978 when he was honorable discharged.  While in the Army Barry received the National Defense Service Medal and the rank of Private First Class.

Barry loved to golf, fish, and play poker while hanging out with his friends.

Barry is survived by his mother Maron Plier.  A brother Richard Plier of Lombard, Ill survives Barry.  2 sisters: Terri (Theodore) Harig of Lake Geneva and Nancy (Douglas) Geske of Milton, WI also survives Barry.  Barry is survived by 6 nieces and nephews; Peter Harig, Emily (Westen) Stonehocker, James Harig, Ashley Warner, Richard Plier, and Carly Beach.  5 Great Nieces and Nephews; Rhett, Laurel, and Daphne Beach along with Harper and Everly Stonehocker also survive Barry.  His father Richard Plier preceded Barry in death.

Services for Barry will be Sunday the 16th of November 2014 at 3:45p.m. in the Chapel of Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  Visitation will be from 2:oop.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has request donations to be made in Barry’s name to Aurora Visiting Nurses Association.  A link has been provided at the bottom of your page for your convenience.
