Barbara J. (Quincann) Quincannon Bormes

February 16, 1952 — November 10, 2016

Barbara Quincannon Bormes, 64, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Thursday November 10, 2016 at her home.  The former Barbara Jane Quincannon was born on February 16, 1952 in Harvard, IL the daughter of Francis J. and Gwendolyn (Wagner) Quincannon.  On July 30, 1982, in Lake Geneva, she was united in marriage to Robert A. Bormes.

She was a founding member of the University of Wisconsin Alumni Association in China, starting chapters in Shanghai and Beijing.  She was an active member of the Democratic Party. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Barbara is survived by: Robert, her husband of 34 years, 2 sons; Joseph R. Bormes of Lake Geneva and Paul (Torri) Bormes of Elkhorn, WI, a grandson Paul Quincannon Bormes, Her mother Gwendolyn Quincannon of Lake Geneva, 5 sisters; Mary Sue Quincannon of Chicago, IL, Jo Ellen (Juan) Serradell of Barcelona, Spain, Patricia Strohm of London, England, Maureen (Serge) Delage of Tucson, AZ and Camille (Kerry) Trunkett of Northbrook, IL and a brother John Quincannon of Waukesha, WI.  She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew Brian Delage.

A Celebration of Barbara’s life will held on Sunday November 20, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Barbara’s name to the Salvation Army.  A link has been provided below.  To sign the on-line guest registry click guest book/condolences
