Barbara Ann (Mueller) Koenig, 85, of Williams Bay, Wisconsin died on March 9th, 2015, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Barbara was born on October the 21st, 1929, to the late Charles and Harriet (Fuller) Mueller in Chicago, Illinois. Barbara was a member of the graduating class of 1947 from Alvernia High School in Chicago, IL. On July 9th, 1949, Barbara was united into marriage to Joseph A. Koenig in Chicago, Illinois.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 65 years Joseph A. Koenig; 3 children: Thomas (Barbara) Koenig of Palatine, IL, Timothy (Mary Beth) Koenig of Arlington Heights, IL, and Jo Anne (Robert) Doebler of Deerfield, IL; 11 grandchildren: Sarah (Tiago) Soltes, Kathryn Koenig, Lauren Koenig, Tim (Erin) Koenig, Elizabeth (Jeff) Hein, Michael (Victor Anaya) Koenig, Robert Doebler, William Doebler and 3 step-grandchildren: Lindsay Caltagirone, Ryan (Katie) Caltagirone, and Lauren Caltagirone; 3 great grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew and Emily;1 sister: Charlette (Dan) Weber of Barrington, IL; and 2 nieces and a nephew.
Services for Barbara will be held Friday the 13th of March 2015 at 10:00am at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Fontana, WI; Father Gary Nowicki and Father Bill Zavaski will be presiding. Visitation will be held on Thursday the 12th of March 2015 from 5:00pm till 8:00pm in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family has asked that a donation be made in Barbara’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, a link has been provided on our website.
