Avonelle Lee (Carroll) Kerin

Avonelle L. Kerin, 76, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Saturday April 20, 2013 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI.  The former Avonelle Lee Carroll was born on September 16, 1936 in Ewing, MO the daughter of the late Lester and Dorothy (Brown) Carroll.  She graduated from Surrattsville High School in Clinton, MD in 1954.  In 1958 she graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in home economics.  On September 1, 1957 in College Park, MD she was united in marriage to Corbett Kerin; he preceded her in death on October 15, 2003.
Avonelle is survived by: 2 children; Linsey Kerin of Williams Bay, WI and Kurt (Susan) Kerin of Arlington, VA, 3 grandchildren; Dakota and Brogan Conell and Daniel Kerin, and a brother Larry Carroll of Camp Spring, MD.
A service celebrating Avonelle’s life will be held on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva; Reverend Nancy Malloy Pastor of the Church of the Holy Communion in Lake Geneva will officiate.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be made in Avonelle’s name to: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society.  To sign the on-line guest registry please click: view/sign condolence book at the bottom of this page.
