Arthur L. Erickson, 91, of Lake Geneva, WI, formerly of Des Plaines, IL, died Thursday June, 14, 2012 at Arbor Village in Lake Geneva, WI. Arthur LeRoy Erickson was born in Avoca, MN on June 30, 1920 the son of the late Edward and Myrtle (Bellinger) Erickson.  He graduated in 1938 from Moline High School and then from Northwestern University with a B.S. degree in accounting.  He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Pacific Theater with the United States Army Air Corps attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel; he was recalled to active duty to serve in the Korean War.  On September 24, 1949 in Evanston, IL he was united in marriage to the former JoAnn Seabury.  He owned and operated One-Write Systems Inc. for many years.  He was a member of Alpha Tau Mega Fraternity and the Retired Officer Club.  He was active in the Boy Scouts serving as a Scout leader for several years.
Arthur is survived by: JoAnn his wife of 63 years, 2 children; Robert (Jane) Erickson of Algonquin, IL and Beth (Brian) Ehlert of Lake Geneva, WI, 4 grandchildren; Christine Ehlert, Douglas (Liz) Ehlert ,Benjamin (Jackie Schuler) Ehlert, and Sarah Erickson.  1 great-granddaughter Grace Elizabeth Ehlert and a sister Betty Heene of Jenison, MI.  He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Vernon, Earl and Charles.
Services will be Monday June 18, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI; Pastor Mark Moller Gunderson of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva.  There will be no visitation.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Arthurs name to the Boy Scouts of America, 2300 East Racine St. Janesville, WI  53545.  Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva is assisting the Erickson family with arrangements.  To sign the on-line guest registry please click view/sign condolence book at the bottom of this page
