Armin “Sparky” Mueller, 88, formerly of Hot Springs Village, AR and Menomonee Falls, WI and most recently of Lake Geneva, WI died Thursday July 10th, 2014.

Armin Emil Mueller, better known as Sparky to his friends and family, was born on January 3rd, 1926 to the late Max and Matilda (Emki) Mueller in Milwaukee, WI.  Sparky was a 1944 graduate of Nathan Hale High and received his Electrical Engineering and Design Associates degree from MSOE.

Sparky was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Coast guard, Gunner’s Mate, Third Class.  Sparky was a life member of the Optimist International Club as well as a life member of VFW post 6498 and 8754 in Wisconsin; and VFW Post 10483 in Hot Springs Village, AR.

Sparky is survived by 3 children: Sandra (David) Goddeyne of Tannersville, PA, Kathleen Branger of Pewaukee, WI, and Douglas (Julie) Mueller of Cherry Valley, Ill.  9 grandchildren survive Sparky: Denise (Peter) Maraziti, Timothy (Kristen) Goddeyne, Daniel (Kelly) Goddeyne, Nicole (William) Freudenstein, Nathan Branger, Natalie Branger, Dale Mueller, Eric Mueller, Jacob Mueller.  7 great-grandchildren survive Sparky: Jack and Patrick Maraziti and Kaleigh, Brendan, Maura, Madison, and Makenna Goddeyne.  Harriett Geudtner, loving companion of 13 years, and his sister Esther Pajari of Waukesha, WI, also survives Sparky.

Sparky was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Joyce (Thurow) Mueller on December 7th, 1998.  2 brothers, Max and Victor Mueller and 1 sister, Ruth Ruehl also preceded Sparky.

A memorial service for Sparky will be held on Saturday July 26th, 2014 at 11:00a.m.; Pastor Tom Wink of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Pewaukee, WI will be presiding over the service.  Inurnment will be private at the Southern Wisconsin’s Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
