Anthony F. James, 89, of Powers Lake, WI, died Thursday July 3, 2014 at his home. Anthony Frank James was born in Chicago, IL on April 17, 1925 the son of the late Anton and Mary (Pfeifer) James. He graduated from Lane Technical High School in Chicago in 1942 and then from Chicago Technical College in 1949 with a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering. On June 9, 1946 in Chicago he was united in marriage to the former Lynn Voin; she preceded him in death on October 3, 2008. They moved to Powers Lake from Chicago in 1952. He had worked as International Sales Director for Master Lock Company for many years. He was a member of the Powers Lake Yacht Club and a former member of the Town of Randall Town Board.
Anthony is survived by: 3 children; Donna (Jim) Alley of Los Angeles, CA, Daniel (Jane) James of Lake Geneva, WI and David James of Powers Lake, WI, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services for Anthony will be held on Friday July 11, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 800 Park Dr., Lake Geneva, WI; Chaplain Sue Cripe-Benzon Chaplain with V.N.A. Hospice will officiate. The James family will receive visitors Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Anthony’s name to: Lake Geneva Hope Walk, P.O.
