Anne Terresa (Ackeret) Chant

Anne T. Chant, 57, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Thursday April 26, 2018 at her home.   The former Anne Terresa Ackeret was born in Medford, WI on March 12, 1961 the daughter of the late Vincent and Kathryn (Bauer) Ackeret.  She had been the owner of Earth’s Children, a children’s clothing store in Lake Geneva.  She was a teacher’s assistant at Traver school in Lake Geneva and a former Office manager for Uriel Pharmacy in East Troy.

Anne loved music and was a talented musician able to play many different musical instruments.  She also enjoyed gardening, flower arranging and painting.

Anne is survived by: her husband Graham, a son Akio, 6 sisters; Patricia Steager of Tucson, AZ, Joan (Dick) Netzer of Olympia, WA, Kristie (Mike) Wandsneider of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Kathleen (Brian) Hurdis of Ponte Vedra, FL, Paula (Timothy) Johnson of Oconto, WI and Maureen (Greg) Heier of Medford, WI and 5 brothers; Joel Ackeret of Selah, WA, David Ackeret of Centerville, AR, Steven Ackeret of Wausau, WI Daniel (Dara) Ackeret of Freeport, FL and Gregory (Barb) Ackeret of Medford, WI.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Judith Miskowic.

Memorial Services for Anne will be held on Friday May 4, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva; Pastor Paul VanDeBerg will officiate.  Visitation will Friday, in church, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Anne’s name to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Chant family with arrangements.  To sign the on-line guest registry Guest Book.
