Ann (Babiarz) Murch

Ann Murch, 80, of the Lake Geneva, Wisconsin area passed away on December 19th, 2022, at her home.

Ann had an enviable approach to life. On April 11, 1979 Ann was married to Robert Murch in Evanston, Illinois. She was committed to her husband, Robert, and their shared pursuits in life. Whatever Ann did or wherever she went, her energy and joie de vivre were infectious. The world is a dimmer place without her in it.

Ann loved to travel and play tennis. Gardening became a way of life as she tended to the beautiful gardens around her home. Ann was also a vital member of the CAN/AM Hockey organization, leaving a lasting impression on co-workers and customers alike.

Ann is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert.  Three children survive Ann: Blake Chapman, Eric (Jennifer) Chapman, and Stephanie (Bill Chioffi) Bell-Murch.  Nine grandchildren also survive Ann: B.D., Erin, Bella, and Alaina Chapman, Owen, Rex, and Dallas Chapman, Amp and Croft Pinkston.  Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Edward Babiarz, and her brother, Robert.

Ann was born on December 19th, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois.  After graduating from Catholic school in Chicago, Ann followed her brother to U.W. Madison where she earned her degree. Ann was a huge fan of her city and school sports teams, and she enjoyed watching them play, much to her husband’s chagrin.

To know Ann was to love her. No obituary can ever do justice to her spirit.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Ann's life will be held on Wednesday December 28th, 2022 from 2:00pm till 5:00pm at the Ridge Hotel on Highway 50.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you donate in Ann's name to St. Judes Children's Hospital or to the Nature Conservancy.  Links have been provided below.
