Ann "Nancy" Francis (Faley) Dailey

Ann “Nancy” Dailey, 97, of the Lake Geneva area passed away on September 9th, 2025.

Nancy Dailey, was born April 18, 1928 in Rochelle, Illinois.

Anne Frances Faley, better known to all as Nancy, was a cherished only child to the late Bernard Francis and Mabel Catherine (Modler) Faley.  She married her high school sweetheart and raised their four children in Lake Geneva. Nancy loved her life on Pleasant Street; she was active in St Francis de Sales school & parish. She and her husband Frank focused on their family.  They traveled in station wagons on summer vacations; they never missed a school play, piano recital, a basketball or football game. The Dailey home always included a couple of cats and a Boxer, named Lady.

Nancy loved her friends, bridge, golf and having parties.  Her home was always open; the coffee pot was on in the morning and the pool was always warm. She was the ultimate hostess, never ran out of ice and always had a new appetizer recipe. She was proudly Irish and celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with gusto.

She volunteered for her parish and her community. She was the first person to bring cookies or a casserole; she remembered birthdays and anniversaries. Nancy was a good friend and a second mom for younger friends. She will be remembered for her zest for life, love of family and thoughtfulness.

She was preceded in death by Frank Dailey and her son Bill.  She is survived by her daughters Mary and Cae and son Buck and his wife, Beth, her grandsons Christopher Kent and Bryan Kent and four great grandchildren.  Barb and Gene Habrel and their son, Mike, are family joined by love. Anya and David McCann and their children, Nicholas, Kate and Michael brought joy and love also.  Nancy was a second mom to several young friends.

The family thanks her many friends and the staff at Williams Bay Health Center for their loving care in her last days. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Toledo Keeping the Faith Charity Foundation and Cat Rescue at W6189 N Walworth Road; Walworth, WI 53184 or to St. Francis de Sales Church.

Services for Nancy will be held on Wednesday September 17th, 2025 at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Church.  Visitation will be held in church, on September 17th, starting at 9:30.
