Yvonne "Bonnie" (Andrews) Winer

Yvonne "Bonnie" Winer, 86, of Lake Geneva, WI died on Tuesday May 15th, 2018 at Village Glen in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Born Yvonne Andrews on July 4, 1931 to the late George and Ruth (Miller) Andrews in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by husbands Perry Winer in 1996 and Guy Gagnon in 2009. Yvonne is survived by daughter; Jackie (nee Barile) Kaufmann and son-in-law Len Kaufmann of Lake Geneva,WI; grandchildren: Justin Kaufmann (Julie Coe) of Chicago, IL; and Joshua Kaufmann (Jill Glow) of Modesto, CA; and great grandson Miles Kaufmann of Chicago, IL.; siblings Rosemary (Jack) Meyers of Douglas, MI, Mike Remmert of Tampa, FL, Kelly Remmert of Key West, FL and Brian (Annette) Remmert of Glendale, AZ.

Yvonne spent her young adult life in Chicago, IL and after the death of her husband Perry, took up residence on the sunny shores of Long Beach, California. Yvonne was stylish and sophisticated, and a very successful saleswoman for many years for Aurora plush animals. Late in life, as she succumbed to the illness of Alzheimer's Disease she moved to Lake Geneva, WI to be closer to her family. Being the family matriarch, she was loved by all and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. 

Services for Yvonne will be held on Sunday June 3rd, 2018 at 10:00 am in the main Chapel of Derrick Funeral Home of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  There will be a time for sharing of stories after the service till 12:00pm on Sunday June 3rd.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy the family has asked that you make a donation in Yvonne’s name to either the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin or Aurora at Home Hospice.  Links have been provided below for your convenience. 

Yvonne's family would like to say a special thank-you to the wonderful staff of Arbor Village and Village Glen in Lake Geneva.  The care she received there has been exceptional.  They would also like to thank the angels at Aurora At Home Hospice.
