Dear Sue, Julie, and Pam. I am horribly sorry for the loss of your Dad. I have many fond memories of both of your parents and am grateful for the friendship that our fathers have enjoyed in each other over the past several years. Dad gave me regular updates on your family after his visits out to the lake.

I am praying for comfort and strength for you all as you honor your Dad's memory and continue to care for you Mom.

We were very sorry to hear of Bob's sudden passing. Although it had been many years since we'd seen him, I remember him as very friendly and always with a smile on his face. I am glad that Mike & Tana were able to represent the Langmack family by attending the service. The obituary was beautifully written and such a great tribute to a wonderful family man. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I had the pleasure of being on the same team as Bob for a READs program at Central Denison several years ago. His enthusiasm for the children was obvious, and his students were so gentle with him. I was very impressed with his devotion to his wife and family, he was a lovely man, he lived a good life, be proud.

Dear Sue, Pam and Julie, Thank you , Sue, for the notice of your Dad's Passing. I am indeed saddened by the news. You brought him to Fred's funeral last fall and we appreciated it so much. He has been a lifelong friend of Freds and I enjoyed getting to know him throughout all these years. As they each "stood up" for each others weddings those 50plus years ago.Ive heard many stories of their adventures prior to marriage. Such great friends. I will always remember him for his cheerful attitude and that twinkle in his eyes. He will be missed by so many. Please accept my love and deepest sympathy to all of you, your children and grandchildren. With love, Lois Pringle

We are so sorry for your loss. What a great dad and grandpa and I know he will be missed terribly. What a great life he had and I loved reading his story. We won't be able to make it up there in time for the visitation. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family today. Please let us know if we can help in anyway. Kristi and Jeff

Dear Sue and Family,
What a legacy of love, joy, wisdom and humor your father left as memories for all of you. He was truly a man of humility and love for others. How fortunate you all were to have a dad like that!
It was such a joy for me to see him and share hugs and conversation with him last summer. He will be greatly missed by all!
Praying God will provide peace for all of you as you go through this extremely difficult time.
My deepest condolences

We are truly saddened of the passing of Bob. He had a welcoming and accepting manner for his friends and family. I was privileged to sail with Bob, as a competitor and as crew for him. I was fortunate to have a standing lunch date with Bob, and other sailors, on the 2nd Thursday of the month. Sometimes there were 3 of us, sometimes 12...depending who was in town. I will miss Bob's presence, warmth and charm.

170620 Dear Pam, Julie, Sue and Jane,
I am so sorry that Bob died...your father and brother. I thought he'd live forever. Ever since I've been coming to Elgin Club Bob has been there, either, a few houses west of my grandmother's house or 6 or so houses east of my parents' house, one of the two "big" boys, cousins, who shared Bob's house then.

Years later when I ended up owning my parent's house, Jeanne and Bob were VERY kind to me. It was Dec. 1996. My house had heat but no running water and they not only provided me with facilities but invited me to dinner. It was quite a FORMAL dinner...much like my grandmother and parents had served decades before but not at all like "eat when you are hungry" style that my nuclear family had developed. I found the formal style of eating together very comforting.

I also think Jeanne and Bob had style. Their house added a garage and it looked like it had always been there.

I will miss seeing Bob up early walking Missy down to the mail boat, He set an example for all of us with his determination to keep fit, great memory, and incisive mind. I should also mention he was a stickler for following rules. As someone else said, Bob cannot be replaced and will be very much missed by Elgin Club members as well as his family.

My sympathy to you on your loss.

Sue and family, I am so extremely sorry! Unfortunately, I know how it feels to lose a parent unexpectedly. The only thing that gets me through is knowing that I we will meet, again. I pray that God will wrap His arms around you and you will find peace in knowing that it isn't the end. You all are in my thoughts and prayers as you face the most difficult days ahead. Much love to you all!

Bob and I met when I was a freshman pledge at the Phi Psi house in Ames, Iowa.
He was more mature than I was but he loved a good time and interacted with his Phi Psi brothers. Bob went on to graduate, marry, be a professional engineer and become a father. Knowing him I'm sure he really loved his children, grands and great grandchildren. I lost contact with Bob over the years. What a surprise to meet him again on a boat (of course) - the steamer on Lake Geneva. My wife and I had been invited to a wonderful party there by Bill and Carol Redeker. We purchased their home on Ft. Myers Beach after many years of friendship during the winter months when both Bill and I retired. It was during those years that Bill and I discovered that both of them were members of Phi Kappa Psi. As we boarded the steamer Bill reintrodused Bob and Fred. Bill was so pleased that both of them were so pleased and excited about how small the world really is. It was a great reminder to the two of them that their fraternity had brought them together to talk about their mutual "brothers" as if no interveening years had gone by. May Bob rest is peace. and may all of you remember the good times. Fred
