It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Bob, beloved father and our friend. Bob was a good man, we know him to be utterly devoted to Barbara and a great father. We had lots of happy memories of our times in Beijing. Twice weekly, it was happy hour in our gathering point abd Bob was always cheerful, positive and had many interesting stories to share. That was our way of battling the pressures at work and to keep each other motivated. Bob was Marcel's mentor and 'father' figure. He was always open to listen and give advice and had so much passion in his work that it was incestuous.
On a personal level, we were neighbours, living in the same estate, we had a wonderful time together with house parties, BBQs, and simply just being together. We have great memories of that period and will always treasure these.
