Richard Stuart Bain

Richard S. Bain, 88, of Lake Geneva, WI died Tuesday February 6, 2018 in the care of Village Glen of Lake Geneva where he resided for the last year. Richard Stuart Bain beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle and friend to many was born March 25, 1929 in Oak Park, IL the son of the late Lewis and Edna (Boegen) Bain. He graduated from Oak Park High School in 1947 and then from Northwestern University in 1952 with a degree in Business. On November 24, 1951 in Berrien Springs, MI he was united in marriage to the former Doris Prillwitz; she preceded him in death on November 5, 2011. He was a member of the Lake Geneva Lions Club, Acacia Fraternity at Northwestern University and on the board of the Geneva Lakes Area Museum. Richard is survived by: Richard and Katherine Bain of Minnesota and their daughter Vivianne, Phillip and Carol Bain of Madison, WI and their children Ben, Eric and Erin, Luisa Paiewonsky wife of his late son John Bain of Arlington, MA and her daughter Lauren Bain and Heide Bain of Libertyville, IL and her sons Jackson and Cameron. He was preceded in death by a son John, 2 brothers Lewis and Bruce and a sister Midge. Services for Richard will be held Saturday March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Linn Presbyterian Church. Richard was an optimistic and courageous man who loved to travel and has begun his ultimate journey. His family would like to thank Aurora At Home Hospice for their loving care and support.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Richard's name to the Geneva Lakes Area Museum. Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Bain family with arrangements.
