Paul Leland Cornue, 72, of Lake Geneva died on April 18,2018 following a long bout with cancer. Paul was born on October 4, 1945 in Harvard, Illinois to the late Stanley Huntington and Meta Adele (Felbck) Cornue. Paul grew up in Hebron, Illinois and graduated from Alden-Hebron High School in 1963. Following four years at the University of Illinois Paul served three years in the US Army including one year in Vietnam (Combat Veteran). After Paul was discharge from the Army he returned to the University of Illinois where he earned a Master of Business Administration Degree.
Using his education Paul spent his working life in computer programming and information technology. Paul was an active scuba diver and was involved in the discovery of the remains of the Lucius Newberry in Geneva Lake. Paul also enjoyed water skiing and riding his motorcycle, particularly to Sturgis South Dakota. Lately walking was a regular routine of Paul’s.
Paul is survived by two brothers: Alan Duane (Bonnie Robinson) Cornue and Lloyd Felbeck Cornue: and one sister Sandra Hammond. Six nieces and nephews: Daniel (Adriana) Cornue, Christine (Paul) Nesja, Carrie (Paul) Crispina, John (Amanda) Cornue, Michael (Pamela) Hammond and Tom (Marcela) Hammond and 10 grand nieces and nephews all survive Paul. A special friend Tom Borysek and a special 40-year companion parrot, Sport, also survive Paul. His parents, a sister-in-law Virginia Stahlbaum Cornue and a brother-in-law Reginald Hammond, preceded Paul in death.
Private family services for Paul will be held at a later date.
