Michael Charles Dreher

Michael Dreher, 77, of Lake Geneva passed away unexpectedly on September 28th, 2019 at his home.

Born Michael Charles Dreher on November 5th, 1941 to the late Roland and Isabella (Ehrnwalb) Dreher in Chicago Illinois.  Michael left school early to go and serve his country as a member of the United States Army.  Michael was honorable discharged from the United States Army on November 30th, 1969. On leave from the Army to attend his sister Carol’s wedding Michael met the love of his life Susan P. Oelert.  On March 20th, 1968 Michael and Susan were united into marriage in Wauconda, Illinois.  Michael and Susan were married for 45 years.

Michael was a proud member of the American Legion Post 771 of Gurnee, Illinois.  Michael was a devoted member of the Lighthouse Bible Church of Lake Geneva.  Michael loved the Green Bay Packers and was a huge Wisconsin Badger Fan.  Michael had a deep love for his friends and family but there was no deeper love then what he had for his 5 grandchildren.

1 daughter: Michelle (Jeff) Hettermann of Twin Lakes and 1 Daughter in-law: Jacqueline Dreher of Nashville, Tennessee survive Michael.  5 grand children: Amanda, Nicholas & Megan Dreher and Jeffery and Kyle Hetterman survive Michael.  1 sister: Carol Misker of Bloomingdale, Illinois along with 1 brother: Roland (Judith) Dreher of Clovis, California also survives Michael.  Michael was preceded in death by his wife Susan on August 28th, 2013 and his son Michael on May 3rd, 2016.

Services for Michael will be held on Saturday October 12th, 2019 at 1:00pm at Derrick Funeral Home, Pastor Gary Page of the Lighthouse Bible Church will be presiding.  Visitation will be held on Saturday October 12th, 2019 from 11:00am till the time of service at the funeral home.  Military Honors will immediately follow the Memorial Service at the Funeral Home.
