Maude S. Graef, 90, originally from the Chicago IL area, passed away on February 19th, 2019 at Arbor View Communities in Burlington, Wisconsin.

Born Maude Scanlan to the late Alan and Marie (Merk) Scanlan on May 12, 1928, she and her late husband Robert John Graef were married for over 65 years, having been wed in 1948 after Robert returned from the war.

Both were active together in the Meals on Wheels program, their local Catholic church St’s Peter and Paul parish, the local VFW post among many other associations, including the Door County Property Owners Association, which her husband was a founder of.  Maude volunteered at the local schools where she taught art and would read to the kids. Maude loved children, teaching, flowers and plants; she made many friends easily and was known for her kindness.
