All the members of the Quinlan Family remember Mark with great joy. He coached Maeve (actually taught her for free I believe) and made her into a world class player who competed at Wimbledon more than once, the French Open, -- and became Northwestern University's first All-American in tennis. Hey, Mark thanks for the free college scholarship as a result of your tremendous coaching. Mark became a beloved member of the family starting in the 1970s visiting our Northfield home for a drink, pulling up in his Grand Am (or other sporty vehicle), having a drink at the kitchen table and brought many a smile to our faces. He was known for his ever-present mustache, wry grin, and slightly hippie-like laid back look. We absolutely loved Mark. He was our friend! - Donal Quinlan

I knew Mark and his family since childhood. Mary (his mom) worked at Red Chimney with us. Mark & I were on the tennis team together. As I remember we had a great team back then. Mark was always the prankster that kept us all laughing. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept my thoughts and prayers for the family....rest in peace buddy.

I am so sorry to hear about Coach Mark. I am a teacher at the high school and can honestly tell you how much the kids adored and respected him. He was so knowledgeable about the game and instilled that same love in his players. My own kids went to Waterford High School and he always treated them like his own after the match. I know he will be missed by many. I will continue to pray for your entire family. He was truly one of a kind.

Mark was a gifted tennis coach and mentor to our son... able to motivate him to elevate his game like no one else could. We are so sorry for your loss... may his memory be a blessing.

I am so sorry for your loss. He was one of the greatest men I have had the pleasure to meet. His love for the Elkhorn High tennis teams (both boys and girls) was showen every time he was with them. I will miss seeing him at their matches.
