Katharine Baker (Carlson) Findley

Katharine B. “Katie’ Findley, 68, a longtime resident of Lyons Township, died Tuesday November 26, 2019 the Memorial Hospital of Burlington.  The former Katherine Baker Carlson was born in Evanston, IL August 23, 1951 the daughter of the late Androv and Susan (Baker) Carlson.  Katie was an experienced sailor; she ran the Lake Geneva Yacht Club sailing school for many years.  She was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion in Lake Geneva.  She was President of the Episcopal Church Women and ran the annual antique show.

Katie is survived by: 2 children; Britta Findley and Bridger (Aubrie) Findley both of Lake Geneva, 2 grandchildren Weston and Willow and a brother Androv (Sheree) Carlson of Lake Geneva.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother William Carlson.

A Celebration of Katie’s life will be held on Sunday December 15, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Horticultural Hall in Lake Geneva.  The family will receive visitors Sunday, at the Horticultural Hall, from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.  Derrick Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Findley family.  To sign the on-line guest registry click Guest Book.
