John Christopher Gavin

John C. Gavin, 60, of the Elkhorn area died on Saturday December 28th, 2019 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital.

Born John Christopher Gavin to Glen and Marian (DeHaan) Gavin on July 27th, 1959 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  John was a member of the graduating class of 1978 from Big Foot High School.

John was a man who loved the outdoors and loved to go camping and skiing.  John was an amateur carpenter. When John wasn’t camping or skiing you could find him out in the garage working on cars or just tinkering around. 

Three children survive John: Thomas Gavin of St. Louis and Eric Gavin and Dana Gavin both from the Milwaukee area.  Nine siblings survive John: Mary Ann Gavin, Jim (Ellen) Gavin, Patricia Gavin, Stephen Gavin, Eileen (Dennis Guenther) Gavin, Margaret (Floyd) Nickerson, Barbara (Lance) Trella, Joseph Gavin, and Mark Gavin.

Services for John will be held on Sunday January 5th, 2020 at 2:00pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home, hospice Chaplin Angie Alesci will be presiding.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12:00pm till the time of service at the funeral home.
