Dear Pat and family,
We were not in the country when we lost Jim and were sad to hear of his passing, even though we know he is with his Savior. We will miss his smile and loving hug each Sunday at church and feel saddened that we will not be seeing him while we are here on earth. His loving spirit will always be with us. Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. We know your strong faith will see you through this difficult time.

Jim Gaugert was a long-time colleague in the Life Insurance business. I have many fond memories of business and social contact with Jim and his associates with AAL. We were technically competitors, but in actuality, real sharing friends and colleagues. In fact, al of the AAL agents were mighty fine people. Jim' friendly smile and attitude will be missed and remembered. My sympathies to Jim's family.

I'm so sorry for your loss. James will be dearly missed, but please take comfort in your faith. Acts 24:15 speaks of a resurrection, a time when God will reunite us with our loved ones again! I hope this helps bring some comfort in this time of sorrow.

Jim was a long time member of our Society's Board of Directors, and served three years as our President. He has been a long time friend of my family since I resigned from IBM in August 1982 and entered the Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. That is where we first met.... me at the Seminary... and Jim as the Manager of an AAL Branch.
My wife and I are truly saddened by Jim's death... but we know that Jim believed in Jesus as his Lord and Savior and is now in the eternal, heavenly home that God promises everyone who believes in Jesus. However, his wife, Pat, and children and grandchildren will bear the burden of his departure from this earth... but my wife and i are confident that our Lord Jesus, working through the power of the Holy Spirit, will comfort them in their times of need..Jim was always "uplifting".... and now Jesus has "lifted Jim" up to his final resting place with his Lord and Savior! THANKS BE TO GOD!

We have truly lost a wonderful friend and will miss the handshakes and hugs we often received from Jim at First Lutheran. He was a wonderful Christian man who gave much to many. He is dearly missed.
