Vida,

My sympathies to you on the passing of your mom. I hadn't seen her much in recent years, but throughout all the years of knowing her she always greeted me with a smile, a warm welcome and good conversation. She contributed much to this community and the causes she was passionate about. You can be proud of her, as she was of you. May God bless her and you now and always.

Dear Vida Rose,

Thank you so much for contacting us to let us know of your Mom's passing.  Irene was a terrific friend, and co-worker, and actually introduced me to my husband, Bill.  Her smile, laugh, and sense of humor made her fun to be with, but she always had a good sense of right and wrong and wasn't afraid to speak up for herself or others.

You can be very proud of your mom, Vida Rose.  She'll definitely live on in our hearts, and won't be forgotten.  We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Best wishes!

Vida Rose,  Your Mom was a truly remarkable woman.  I couldn't help but smile as I read the list of her organizations and passions.  She was my role model for becoming involved in social issues and politics.  More importantly, she was my role model for life.  Your Mom was part of our family and part of my village that raised me.  Besides her many involvements with work and organizations, she loved her travel, art, reading, and friends.  I will remember her always as a pioneer, a strong woman, and her wonderful smile still warms me.  She remains in my heart forever.  Keeping you Vida Rose in our thoughts and hearts.
