Cory Brown Obituary

Cory M. Brown, 47, of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin died unexpectedly on Monday October 29th, 2018.

Born Cory Michael Brown to Michael and Norine (Olson) Brown in Des Moines, Iowa on August 12, 1971.  Cory was a member of the graduating class of 1990 from Northwest Webster High in Barnum, Iowa. After high school he went to basic training in the Army with special training as a medic.  After serving in the National Guard he received an ROTC scholarship and earned his BSN at Coe College. After working many years as a registered nurse he earned his Masters of Science in Nursing degree from Concordia University.  He worked as a Nurse Practitioner for 4 years. On August 20, 1994 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Cory married his high school sweetheart Elisa Miller.

Cory was a man that was able to fix or build anything he put his mind to.  Cory had a passion and a love for anything with a motor. Cory could always be found working in his garage on one of his cars, motorcycle or boats. Cory loved to be outdoors and go camping with his family.  He was known for taking off on his moped when he got to their camping spot to find family adventure spots. He was a visitor. If he knew you and where you lived, he might just show up on your door for a chat. Cory loved lemon-flavored things, lemon cookies and lemon soft serve from his favorite place in his hometown.  Of all the passions and love that Cory had there was no passion deeper than the love that he had for his children, his wife, and his family.

Cory is survived by his wife of 24 years, Elisa; his 2 children: Carley Anna and Natalea Clare; his parents Michael and Norine of Clare, Iowa; his brother Keane (Sarah) Brown of Fort Dodge, Iowa; and his sister Kelly (Jeff) Metzger of Palmer, Iowa.  In addition, many friends and relatives who will miss him dearly also survive Cory.
