Dear Novak Family,
I heard of your loss through a dear friend of mine and have been praying for you all every day since. I thought it might be comforting to you to know that people you don't even know are lifting you up daily before the Father in prayer. Although I don't know you personally, I have felt God's love for you in my heart every time I have prayed and know that He is keeping you as the apple of His eye.
May His grace and love abound toward you now and in the days to come.

To the immediate and extended family members of Christine Kelby Novak, we send the "living and active" Word of God.
"But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13.
In the life of Christine Kelby Novak, we witnessed and experienced the LOVE of God Almighty who "...CAUSES ALL THINGS to work together for GOOD to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose". (Romans 8:28) Chris, in the image of her Savior, Jesus Christ, was AN EXPRESSION OF THE LOVE OF GOD; Chris was a life-giver, who planted innumerable seeds of faith and fortitude, hope and humility, and limitless love into the hearts of all who knew her. Though we pray for the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit to envelop you all with His Comfort, and we also pray that Almighty God, through His Son Jesus, will sustain and strengthen you through this trial, it is by faith that we believe that there will emerge from the seeds that Chris planted, A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST.

We were so saddened to hear of Chris' death, and we just want you to know you are in our prayers. We briefly met you last summer at Mt. Zion after the service, and the similarities in our families brought us together (We have seven children, but 5 girls and 2 boys). We also are friends with Cally Finney, who we recently discovered was a cousin to Joe. We are praying for the Holy Spirit's comfort for all, and especially for strength for Joe and Jana as they care for the kids. Love in Christ to you all!

I knew Carolyn and Christine in the 90's when we attended the same church here in Rockford, IL, where I live. They attended my wedding to John Coffman on June 7, 1997. I remember their genuine love for God and people. Chris had the most wonderful way about her, always smiling and encouraging. She had a quiet and gentle spirit and a quick smile for whoever she met. Chris and her husband and children visited our church, The Grove, in Poplar Grove, last spring, and it was so wonderful seeing her again and meeting her beautiful family. My prayers continue for the family through this time of mourning. May the God of all comfort, comfort you in all your sorrow and bring beauty from these ashes.
