Christine A. (Kelby) Novak

 Christine A. Novak, 40, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Saturday August 12, 2017 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.  The former Christine Ann Kelby was born on December 22, 1976 in Elkhorn, WI the daughter of James and Carolyn (Shem) Kelby.  She graduated from Faith Christian High School in Grand Detour, IL. On August 8, 1998, in Grand Detour, IL, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Joseph L. Novak. 

In her teens she was deeply involved in mission work with “Youth with a Mission” traveling several times to Mexico and Romania, and continued that love for mission work and travel throughout her life. She enjoyed being active outdoors, camping, hiking, biking and boating Lake Geneva.  She enjoyed music, especially worship music.  Her love and her life was her family spending countless hours home- schooling, cooking, raising animals, gardening and just experiencing life in countless ways.  She was a wonderful friend and was gracious and kind to everyone who was blessed to meet her.  The impact of her life was widespread and she will be remembered with love by many.

Christine is survived by: her husband Joe, 7 children; Jordan, Elijah, Micah, Elizabeth, Timothy, Evelyn and Justin all at home, her father James (Shelly) Kelby of Griffith IN, her step-father Tim Dunn of Lake Geneva, WI, a brother James Kelby of Lake Geneva, WI, 4 sisters; Jennifer (Joel) Kimball of Ahmeek, MI, Katherine (Patrick) McIntosh of Lowell, IN, Jamie (Doug) Brincks of Council Bluffs, IA and Jennalee Stewart of Demotte, IN.  She was precede in death by her mother Carolyn Dunn. 

Services for Christine will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday August, 21, 2017 at Mount Zion Christian Church in Lake Geneva; Pastor Dave Adams will officiate.  Visitation will be Monday, in church, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.  Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva is assisting the Novak family with arrangements.  To sign the on-line guest registry click guest book/condolences.
