Harold Edwin Davis

Harold E. Davis, 88, of the Lake Geneva area passed away at his home on April 16th, 2024, Where he lived for past 2 years to be close to his son.

Harold was born on June 20th, 1935, to the late Claire Davis and Clara (Richter) Davis in Ohio.  Harold attended Gibsonburg High School where he was a member of the graduating class of 1952.  After earning a Bachelor’s degree in College Harold went on to serve in the United States Air Force.  Harold served in the Air Force for 23 years, where he completed his Master’s degree, then retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.  Harold was united into marriage to the former Ann Harschlip in Rock Falls, Wisconsin on August 27, 1960.  Harold (Ann) had three children, Sarah, Betsy, and Anthony.

After retirement from Air Force, Harold went on to become a Marketing Director for AB Dick Co. in Niles, IL while living in McHenry, Illinois.   He later relocated to his wife’s home community in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where He became an Insurance Agent.  In his free time, he served on the Eau Claire City Board, sang in the church choir, would go deer hunting, and loved to go trap shooting.

Harold is survived by his son Anthony (Mae) Davis, four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one grandchild in-law, and two step-great grandchildren.  Harolds three sisters also survive him: Esther (Bill) Rapp, Ruth Kroeger, and Margie (Charlie) Grove.  Harold was proceeded in death by his wife Ann, two daughters: Sarah and Betsy, and his parents.

Three services for Harold will be held:  

Saturday May 11th, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the main chapel of Derrick Funeral Home.  A time for gathering and fellowship will follow at the funeral home after the service. A service for family and friends close to the Lake Geneva, Wisconsin area.

Saturday May 18th, 2024 at 9:00 am in the Rock Falls, Wisconsin Cemetery (where his ashes will be laid to rest next to his wife) and at 11:00 am, Rock Creek Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, Wisconsin. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.  A service for family and friends close to the Eau Claire, Wisconsin area.  Birth home and church community of Harold’s beloved wife Ann.
