Timothy Hoag Osborne

Timothy H. Osborne, 64, died after a short illness on Wednesday August 3rd, 2016.

Born Timothy Hoag Osborne to Jack and Janeth (Hoag) Osborne on November 6th, 1951 in Omaha, Nebraska, Tim was a member of the graduating class of 1970 from Benson High School in Omaha.  After Tim graduated from Benson High he went to Colorado State University where he earned his Bachelors degree in Business.  Tim was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.   On May 27th, 1973 in Fort Collins, Colorado Tim was married to the former Sheila Soderberg.  After college, Tim became a sales rep for Cargill Salt followed by over 30 years of employment as an Account Manager for Dura-Bar Metal Services in Woodstock, IL.

Tim was a sports lover and the family spent time hiking, biking and swimming.  When Tim wasn’t out sailing with the Keelboat Club on Lake Geneva you could find him coaching his kids’ sports team or volunteering with the local Special Olympics organization.

Tim’s wife of 43 years, Sheila, survives him, as well as  2 children: Sam (Darcy) Osborne of Batavia, Illinois and Jamie Osborne of Lake Geneva, 4 grandchildren: Channing, Brody, Chase, and Brooks Osborne, Tim’s father Jack, 3 Brothers Joel (Joyce) Osborne, Matt (Dawn) Osborne, Mark (Sheila) Osborne and 1 Sister Amy (Dawn) Osborne and many nieces and nephews.  His mother Janeth preceded Tim in death.

Services for Tim will be held on Monday August 8th, 2016 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva.  Visitation will be held from 11:00am till 1:00pm the day of the services.
