Ronald E. Moreau, 88, a longtime resident of Lake Geneva, died Monday February 20, 2017 at his home.  Ronald Edward Moreau was born on May 29, 1928 in Greenfield, MA the son of the late Armand and Francese (Campbell) Moreau.  He was a graduate of Greenfield High School.  He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Army.  He worked for many years selling appliances for Wisconsin Power and Light Company in Lake Geneva.  Following retirement from W.P. & L. he and Ken Koehn opened K and M appliances in Twin Lakes, WI.  On October 24, 1964 in Fox Point, WI he was united in marriage to the former Marie Monchamp.

Ron was an active member of the Richmond, IL Lions Club; he received several awards, most notably the President’s Award and Lion of the Year. 

Ron was a wonderful host to visitors and will be remembered for his stories of his boyhood, late night’s playing cards around the kitchen table, enjoying boat rides on Geneva Lake, visiting the Jelly Belly factory and enjoying his delicious crepes for breakfast.  He will be greatly missed. 

He is survived by: Marie; his wife of 52 years, his sister-in-law Judith Moreau, his brother’s children Francese (Dana) Moreau Potter and their children Jake and Cody of Hinesburg, VT and Guy Moreau of Marathon, FL and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Moreau.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday June 24th, 2017 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held from 10:00am till the time of service at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.
