Richard John Milne

Richard J. Milne, 73, formerly of South Barrington, Illinois and most recently from Lake Geneva, died on April 17th, 2017.

Born Richard John Milne to the late Richard and Josephine (Gurka) Milne in Chicago, Illinois in December of 1943.  Richard was a member of the graduating class of 1962 from Carl Schurz High School in Chicago.  After high school Richard went on to Northern Illinois University where he earned his degree in Business.  On February 14th, 1970 he was united into marriage to his wife Donna.

Richard loved many things.  Richard lived by the motto “Get lots while you are young.”  Richard loved sports, power boating, and water skiing.  Richard loved everything that was involved with the water.  Richard was known to have an exquisite taste in cars.  Richard had a passion for talking about business and his favorite topic was real estate.  Richard had a special place in his heart for the music of Elvis Presley and for the 1950’s.  Out of all of the things that Richard had a fondness for and a love for he had no greater love then for his wife Donna and his family.

Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years Donna.  2 children survive Richard: Dawn Milne of Chicago, Illinois and John Milne of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.

Service for Richard will be held on Friday April 21st, 2017 at 11:30am at the Crystal Lake Country Club, Reverend David Howie will be presiding.
