Judith Schwartz, 83, of Walworth, died on Thursday, March 16th, 2017 at Mercy Hospital.
Born Judith Lorrayne Bird to the late Clarance and Helen (Rubach) Bird on February 2nd, 1934 in Burlington, Wisconsin. Judith was a member of the graduating class of 1953 from DMLC High School in New Ulm, MN. On June 26th, 1954 in Burlington she was united into marriage to John Schwartz.
Judith was known as everyone’s mom. Judith took care of kids in her house and was always taking care of everyone. Judith loved the Lord and enjoyed helping the church do bulletins and quilting with the ladies at church. Judith also taught for 1 year in Kenosha at Friedens Lutheran and she was also a member of the Power Squadron Ladies Auxilary.
7 children survive Judith: Stephen (Theresa) Schwartz of Kenosha, WI; Kathleen (Harry) Dziczek of Burton, MI; Karen (David) Rawson of Neillsville, WI; Kenneth (Gayle) Schwartz of Yakima, WA; David (Kelly) Schwartz of Lake Geneva, WI; Judith Schwartz of Williams Bay, WI; and Doreen (Richard) Nevelier of Walworth, WI. 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren also survive Judith. Judith was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years John, on November 28th, 2010. Judith was also preceded in death by a great grandson, Korbin Belott .
Services for Judith will be held on Friday March 24th, 2017 at 10:00am at First Lutheran Church in Lake Geneva. Committal service will be at 2:00pm on Friday March 24th, 2017 at in the chapel of Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held on Thursday March 23rd, 2017 from 5:00pm till 7:00pm at Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva. There will also be a short visitation from 9:00am till the time of service on Friday March 24th, 2017.
