Jeanne Claire Anderson

Jeanne C. Anderson, 91, of North Prairie and Waterford, Pennsylvania passed away surrounded by family on Monday December 5th, 2016 at Geneva Lake Manor in Lake Geneva.

Born Jeanne Claire DeCoopman in Detroit, Michigan on December 15th, 1924 to the late Fred and Mildred (Smith) DeCoopman.  Jeanne was a member of the graduating class of 1943 from Addison High School in Addison Michigan.    On September 5th, 1945 Jeanne was united into marriage to the Kenneth Anderson in Somerset, Michigan.   After Jeanne and Kenneth were married they relocated to Waterford, Pennsylvania where they lives on a small farm for over 65 years.

While living in Waterford Jeanne became a member of the Waterford Garden Club.  Jeanne was involved in the Calvary Evangelical Covenant Church and the Waterford Presbyterian Church.  Jeanne was an avid baker and loved to cook.  Jeanne loved to garden, was a seamstress and a fantastic artist who loved to paint with watercolors.

4 children survive Jeanne: Kathryn (Rick) Hammer of North Prairie, Wisconsin; Lawrence (Diann) Anderson of Naperville, Illinois; Diana (Mike) Corner of Edinboro, Pennsylvania; Daniel (Kathy) Anderson of Thompson Station, Tennessee.  16 grandchildren survive Jeanne; Jeanine (Peter) Nordquist, Carolyn Hammer, Gayle Hammer, Eric (Cherith) Anderson, Kurt (DeneeAnderson, Ryan (Emily) Anderson, Jessica Henderson, Lisa (Danny) Jakubuwski, Keely McGowan, Paul (Marcia) Corner, Danielle McGowan, Brady McGowan, Chelsea (Matt) Hernly, Aubree Anderson, Dustin Anderson and Breanna Anderson.  19 great-grandchildren survive Jeanne: Emma, Rachel, Ellianna Nordquist; Ava, Ingrid, Linnea Anderson; Calvin, Nora, Dean Anderson; Zach & Makayla Jakubuwski; Joshua, Caleb, Nathan Henderson; Carter Kozushko; Josiah, Anastasia Corner; Kyella & Bryson Hernley.  Jeanne was proceeded in death by her husband of 68 year Kenneth on August 8th, 2013 and one son David in 1976.

There will be a visitation of friends and family on Friday December 9th, 2016 from 6:00pm till 8:00pm in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.  A visitation will be held at Van Matre Funeral Home in Waterford, Pennsylvania from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Saturday December 17,2016.

In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in Jeanne's memory to Covenant Harbor or Mission Meadows Bible Camp.  Links have been provided below for your convenience.
