Janet Bucannan (Winward) Hill

Janet Hill, 80, of Lake Geneva passed away at her home on August 18th, 2016.

Born Janet Bucannan Winward on August 24th, 1935 to the late Elwood and Belle (Bucannan) Winward in Dartford, England.  Janet was a graduate of the Canterbury Business School where she received an Associates Degree in Business.  On September 1st, 1956 she was united into marriage to Robert Hill in Birchington, England.

Janet was involved in the Questers International, Lake Geneva Food Pantry, and Meals on Wheels.  Janet volunteered at the area schools and was also part of the church vestry and chairman of Lake Geneva Antique Show. Janet was a very large supporter of the National Trust and Nature Conservatory. Janet along with her husband Robert faithful members and proud supporters of the Church of Holy Communion Episcopal Church.

Janet is survived by her husband of 59 years Robert Hill. 3 children survive Janet: Catherine (Daniel) Anderson of Oswego, Ill., John (Joy) Hill of Xonia, WI., and Sarah Hill of Lake Geneva.  3 grandchildren: Alexandra & Mathew Anderson and Michael Hill also survive Janet.  One son, Gregory, her sister Penny and her brother Michael all preceded Janet in death. 

Service for Janet will be held on Saturday September 3, 2016 at 11:00am at the Church of Holy Communion Episcopal Church, 320 Broad Street, Lake Geneva.  There will be a time for gathering and fellowship following the service.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family of Janet has asked that you make a donation to the Organ Restoration Fund of the Holy Communion Episcopal Church in Janet’s Name.
