Etta M. (Szydlo) Ward

Etta M. Ward, 63, of Lake Geneva, WI, died Saturday July 9, 2016 at her home.  The former Etta Marie Szydlo was born in Chicago, IL on February 5, 1953 the daughter of John and Heather (Cowie) Szydlo.  On June 26, 1971 in Chicago, IL she was united in marriage to Ronald D. Ward. Etta was an avid gardener and was very proud of her flowers. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Etta is survived by: Ron, her husband of 45 years, her mother Heather Szydlo of Pell Lake, 2 sons; Ron II of Lake Geneva and Sean of Pell Lake, 2 grandchildren; Lucas and Harmony.  She was preceded in death by her father and a brother William Szydlo. Services for Etta will be held on Thursday July 14 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home; Father Jim Scheurman of Saint Francis deSales Catholic Church will officiate.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.   In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Etta’s name to Aurora At Home Hospice; a link has been provided for your convenience.  To sign the on-line guest registry click guest book/condolences.
