Cretha (Williams) Kinard

Cretha Kinard, 50, of Delavan, WI, died Sunday July 23, 2017 at her home.  Cretha was born in Chicago IL on July 28, 1966 the daughter of Betty Hicks and the late Harold Williams.

Cretha was a great people person enjoying the time she spent with her friends and especially time with her family. In 1997 she became certified as a welder.  She was also certified in respite care for disabled adults. 

Cretha is survived by: her mother Betty Kinard of Genoa City, WI, 2 children; Breanna Wright of Chicago, IL and Dionte Orth of Delavan, WI, 4 sisters; Armadell Hicks of Chicago, IL, Penny  (Ronnie) Hartwell of Richmond, CA, Mona Lisa Gibbs of Detroit, MI and Isha Kinard of Genoa City, WI and a brother Michael Smith of Beloit, WI.  She was preceded in death by her father. 

A Celebration of Cretha's life will be held on Thursday August 3, 2017  at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 1500 Creek Rd. in Delavan, WI.  A luncheon will follow.  In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials are requested in Cretha’s name to: Faith Baptist Church, 1500 Creek Rd., Delavan, WI 53115.  Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to serve the Kinard family.  To sign the on-line guest registry click guest book/condolences.
