Beatrice D. (Buechs) Roenspies

Beatrice D. Roenspies, 98, of Lake Geneva, WI, formerly of Lombard, IL and Land O’Lakes, WI, died Sunday September 11, 2016 at Village Glen in Lake Geneva.  The former Beatrice Doris Buechs was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 22, 1918 the daughter of the late Phillip and Emma (Katz) Buechs.  On June 7, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, she was united in marriage to Raymond H. Roenspies; he preceded her in death on March 21, 1999 

Beatrice was a talented seamstress making many clothes for her children and grandchildren.  She also enjoyed making miniature dollhouses and collecting cat figurines.

She is survived by: a daughter-in-law Artis Roenspies of Lake Geneva, 2 grandchildren; Matthew (Robin) Roenspies and Jill (Will) Flaman and 4 great-grandchildren; Alexandra, Leah, and Thomas Roenspies and Ian Flaman.  She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons; David and Robert Roenspies, 2 grandchildren; Thomas and Marcia Roenspies and a sister Phyllis Krueger.

Services for Beatrice will be held Sunday October 2, 2016  at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Derrick Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Lake Geneva; Pastor Randy D’Alessandro of the United Church of God in Beloit will officiate.
